The Barossa Valley Wine company is delighted to have come away from the 2019 New York International Wine Competition with two prestigious trophies:
The Barossa Valley Winery of the Year
The Shiraz Wine Company of the Year
The 9th Annual NYIWC took place on May 5th, 2019 in New York City, with the winners announced 4 days later. This was the largest ever NYIWC with entries from 24 wine producing countries and over 1400 submissions.
The NYIWC prides itself on being the only awards competition that is exclusively judged by wine buyers. Specifically, they are judged by category and by price bands – to ensure that wines of equal or similar price are compared and judged.
This is the first time the Barossa Valley Wine Company has entered these awards, so to come away with two winning medals is a fantastic achievement.
