Winestate Magazine has released its latest wave of tasting results and BVWC's 2019 Farms Shiraz received an impressive 94 points!
The wines were tasted blind and judged by the expert wine tasting panel. With more than 10,000 wines tasted per annum, Winestate is one of the biggest wine judging forums in Australia. The results are not easily achieved so if a wine does get awarded a higher score it must have earned that in the eyes (or palate of) the tasting panel.
Farms exhibits an intense nose of blackberry, black olive and cigar box characters leading to a powerful palate of rich blackberry and vanillin spice with powerful tannins. Farms represents our spiritual home – the gnarled old Farms vineyard in the Barossa Valley and achieving 94 points is a testament to its strength and quality, an iconic Barossa shiraz at its best.
